Lok Adalat settles 16 cases

KATHUA: A National Lok Adalat was held on Saturday in the District Court Complex Kathua under the chairmanship of Chairman District Legal Services Authority Kathua, Sanjay Dhar (Principal District and Sessions Judge Kathua).
The National Lok Adalat comprised of two Benches. Bench No. 1 was constituted comprising of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kathua Deepak Sethi, Spl. Mobile Magistrate Kathua, Naushad Ahmad Khan and Tehsildar Kathua, Avtar Singh to deal with revenue and civil cases.
The Bench No. 2 constituted of Pr. District and Sessions Judge Kathua, Sanjay Dhar, Addl. District and Sessions Judge Kathua , S.C Katal and Assisted by Advocate Ajat Shatru Sharma to deal with MACT and civil cases.
A total number of 16 cases were disposed off and a compensation of Rs.4,23,000 was awarded in favour of the victims.
