SRINAGAR: A Lok Adalat comprising of two benches was held under the chairmanship of Principal District and Sessions Judge Baramulla, Raja Shujat Ali Khan at District Court Complex Baramulla today.
As many as 200 cases were taken up during the said Lok Adalat, out of which 150 cases were settled amicably on spot.
A compensation of Rs. 1.93 crore was sanctioned under land cases while Rs. 5 lakh realized as fine during the Lok Adalat.
First Additional District and Sessions Judge, Parvaz Hussain Kachroo presided over the second Bench. Advocate Shahid Ali Shah and Advocate Farooq-ud-Din Bhat assisted the cases respectively in the two Bench Lok Adalat.
