SAMBA: A team of Legal Metrology Department (LMD) headed by Assistant Controller Legal Metrology Samba conducted extensive checking of various business establishments particularly Kiryana, sweets shops, provision stores , Atta Chakki, fertiliser dealers , bakery shops, hardware shops, dispensing units, manufacturers and packers and 17 Miles Hotel and Restaurant of Samba District. During the inspection, more than 85 traders dealing with different trades were inspected and 18 erring traders booked for violation of Weights and Measures Act and penalty of Rs 20,600 was imposed during the inspection.
