KATHUA: A team of legal Metrology Department Kathua headed by the Assistant Controller Legal Metrology Kathua Ajay Verma conducted intensive checking of various business establishments . A total of eight violators were booked and a penalty of Rs 10,200 was imposed on the erring traders for violation of various provisions of J and K Weights and Measures Enforcement (Amendment) Act 2011 and Package Commodities Rules(PCR) during the month.
The department has warned the traders to desist from these unfair trade practices.
