SAMBA: A team of Legal Metrology Department under the supervision of Assistant Controller Legal Metrology Samba, Ajay Verma conducted an extensive checking of various business establishments particularly sweets shops, provisional stores dealing with gift items , Karayana shops, goldsmiths, Vegetable, fruit and Bakery shops at Main Bazar Samba, Vijaypur, Bari Brahamana, Ghagwal , Nud and adjoining areas .
During inspection, more than 100 traders dealing with different trades were inspected for their compliance with regard to various provisions of J&K Standard of Weights and Measures Enforcement Act 2011 and Package Com-modities Rules. The team booked 30 erring traders and penalty of Rs 32,600 was imposed on them.
