JAMMU: A value-driven yet very impactful morning assembly was conducted at JK Public School, Kunjwani on the inspiring theme “Kind Words Cost Nothing.” The assembly beautifully reflected the school’s commitment to nurturing not only academic excellence but also the values of empathy, compassion, and mindful communication among young learners.

Setting the tone for the morning, Jaskirat Kour of Grade V Maple, along with her classmates, delivered an insightful opening thought: “A school is not just a place of learning, but also a place where values are shaped.” She emphasized that words possess the power to heal, inspire, and spread happiness, adding that “kind words are like gentle seeds; when planted, they blossom into kindness everywhere.”
Adding greater depth to the theme, Bhavyam observed, “Kindness begins with the words we choose. Sometimes a single kind sentence can give courage to someone who is feeling low and unheard.” He further reminded the audience that even the smallest expression of kindness can brighten someone’s day and create a more caring and harmonious environment.
The assembly reached an emotional high point when Pragun Kour recited a soulful poem:
“Kind words cost nothing;
yet give so much to say,
They brighten tired hearts;
and light a gloomy day.
A small, a caring sentence,
so simple, soft and true,
Kind words cost nothing,
but they can change me and you.”
The reflections were further enriched through inspiring quotations presented by students. Tanish eloquently referred to the words of Blaise Pascal, reminding everyone that “Kind words do not cost much, yet they accomplish much.”
Rakshit Jasrotia beautifully quoted Mark Twain, “Kindness is a language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see.”
Ridhim drew inspiration from Lao Tzu, “Kindness in words creates confidence.”
Kevin Samyal invoked the wisdom of Rudyard Kipling, “Words are powerful; when spoken with kindness, they uplift the soul.”
Mayra Kour once again echoed the timeless words of Mark Twain, “Kindness is the language which everyone understands.”
Mehpreet Singh reflected upon the gentle thought of Leo Buscaglia, “Words spoken with kindness leave footprints on the heart.” Anam Khanna concluded by quoting the Dalai Lama, whose message resounded with warmth: “Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.”
The thoughtful presentation left a deep and lasting impression on the audience, reminding everyone that simple, gentle words have the power to transform lives and create ripples of positivity across society.
Addressing the gathering, Principal JKPS Kunjwani Rajesh Rathore lauded the young presenters for their meaningful reflections and confident delivery. He remarked that in a world often driven by haste and competition, the true measure of character lies in the gentleness of our words and the kindness of our actions.
“Words are the mirrors of our hearts,” he said, “and when they are soft, sincere, and compassionate, they build bridges of trust, respect, and harmony.”
He encouraged students to make kindness their daily habit and become torchbearers of empathy and positivity. He concluded by reminding them that a kind word spoken at the right moment can light up a life, heal a wounded heart, and make the world a more beautiful place to live in.
The assembly concluded with a renewed pledge among students to speak kindly, act thoughtfully, and uphold the noble values that define the ethos of JK Public School, Kunjwani.
