JAMMU: All Jammu and Kashmir Electric Department Linemen and Workers Union on Tuesday hailed the Power Development Department (PDD) for implementing SRO 381 of 1981 while considering promotions at various levels in the Department Subordinate Services Recruitment Rules, 1981.
The decision of implementing SRO 381 was welcomed during a meeting of the Union held under the chairmanship of Vijay Gupta, Chairman of the Union, in which all members and office bearers were also present.
Vijay urged the Executive Engineers of PDD to implement the order in letter and spirit. The meeting appealed to the Government for providing ex-gratia relief to workers who got killed during duty hours to the extent of Rs 3 lakh and pending cases should be finalised.
Suresh Antal President, Tara Chand President Jammu Province, Girdhari LaI General Secretary, Anil Singh Slathia Senior Vice President, Ashiq Hussain Vice-President Jammu, Surinder Kumar Publicity Secretary, Kartar Nath Advisor, Rajan Babu, Paras Rara, Krishen Lal, Mangat Ram and Kale Ram also spoke on the occasion.
