LG, CM greet people on Shab-e-Barat

JAMMU: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah besides Deputy Chief Minister and Ministers on Tuesday extended greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of Shab-e-Baraat.
In a message, the Lieutenant Governor said: “On the holy occasion of Shab-e-Baraat, I convey my greetings and best wishes to all.
This sacred night offers devotees a precious opportunity to seek divine pardon, blessings, and wisdom. It invites seekers to ponder their inner journey and forge a profound bond with the almighty. Above all, Shab-e-Baraat reminds us to embrace a life grounded in truth, humility, and kindness.
“May this holy night shower peace, prosperity, and joy upon everyone”.
Extending heartfelt greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of Shab-e-Barat, a revered night marked by prayers, repentance, and seeking the mercy and blessings of Almighty Allah, the Chief Minister, in a messaid, underscored the deep spiritual significance of Shab-e-Barat, describing it as a night of self-reflection and devotion when believers seek forgiveness and divine guidance.
He called upon people to imbibe the true spirit of the occasion and offer prayers for peace, harmony, and the welfare of all humanity.
The Chief Minister also prayed for peace, prosperity and overall progress for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Deputy Chief Minister, Surinder Choudhary also greeted the people on the auspicious occasion of Shab-i-Barat.
He said that Shab-i-Barat holds great religious and spiritual significance for Muslims and is a night of prayers, forgiveness, and reflection. On this sacred occasion, he urged people to pray for peace, prosperity and overall welfare of all.
The Deputy Chief Minister also observed that Jammu and Kashmir stands as a shining example of mutual understanding, harmony and spirit of celebrating festivals together. He said that the people of the region have always upheld the values of unity and coexistence.
He also prayed for the well-being of all and urged people to strengthen communal harmony and brotherhood in Jammu and Kashmir.
In her greeting message, Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education, Sakeena Itoo said that this sacred night is dedicated to seeking forgiveness, mercy and blessings from Almighty Allah and has immense spiritual significance. She added that this holy occasion is a night of introspection when Muslims seek divine pardon and guidance from Almighty Allah.
The Minister also prayed for peace, progress and prosperity for entire Jammu and Kashmir.
Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana ALSO greeted people on the auspicious occasion of Shab-e-Barat.
In his message, Rana said that the sacred night carries immense religious significance and presents a unique opportunity for mercy, forgiveness and spiritual purification.
He called on all to use Shab- e- Barat as an opportunity to pray for the welfare of the nation.
Calling for peace, unity and harmony, Rana urged all to dedicate themselves to tolerance, restraint and mutual harmony for the greater welfare of humanity.
Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Information Technology, Transport, Youth Services and Sports, Satish Sharma, in his greeting message, said that Shab-i-Barat holds great religious and spiritual significance for the Muslim community as it is observed as a sacred night of prayers, forgiveness, self-reflection and seeking divine blessings.
He urged the people to pray for peace, prosperity and the overall welfare of society.
Satish Sharma observed that Jammu and Kashmir has a long-standing tradition of mutual respect, communal harmony and collective celebration of festivals, which reflects the spirit of unity and coexistence among its people. He said that such occasions reinforce the bonds of brotherhood and strengthen social harmony.
The Minister prayed for the well-being of all and called upon the people to continue nurturing the values of peace, harmony and brotherhood to ensure sustained progress and development in Jammu and Kashmir.
