BARAMULLA: On the directions of High Court of J and K, a legal awareness camp for flood affected people was held under the chairmanship of 1st Additional District and Sessions judge Baramulla Parvaiz Hussain Kachroo at Palhallan Gath, Pattan on Saturday. The camp was organised by District Legal Services Authority Baramulla in collaboration with Tehsil Legal Services Committee Pattan.
The camp was attended by Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Pattan, Sub Judge Pattan, officers from judiciary and the administration besides a large number of people including flood victims.
The people on the occasion were made aware about the legal services in light of relief and rehabilitation activities.
SDM Pattan during the camp informed that 37 villages got affected during recent devastating floods in Pattan Tehsil and Rs.3.66 cr were distributed as relief among the flood victims of the area.
The camp was informed that a special Lok Adalat would be conducted on 29th of November,2014 at court complex Pattan during which the cases of flood affected people would be taken up for redressal.
