JAMMU: Dogra College of Education on Saturday organised an extension lecture on ‘Lesson Planning’ which was delivered by Prof. Jaspal Singh, an eminent educationist and Senior Assistant Prof. in Education Deptt. and Coordinator B. Ed. Programme, Deptt. of Distance Education, University of Jammu.
Prof. Jaspal explained the different approaches to lesson planning at B.Ed. level for classroom teaching at school level. He stressed upon the use of effective planning of the lesson before delivering it to the students in order to achieve the desired objectives of teaching. He emphasised that teacher should build a positive rapport with their students in order to make teaching learning process more effective.
Earlier, Bela Thakur, Academic Coordinator, Dogra College of Education in her welcome address emphasized the importance of the day’s topic and added that teaching can always be fruitful when it is polished with careful and intelligent planning.
Kr. Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary, Dogra Educational Trust, Prof. B. D. Damral, Director, Dogra College of Education, Shefali Sharma, Principal of the College were also present on the occasion.
Vote of thanks was presented by Indu Puri, Senior Lecturer of the College.
