LBA discusses Dalai Lama’s teaching arrangements

LEH: To ensure a hassle free arrangement for the public during upcoming three-day teaching by His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Ladakh at Jivetsal, various responsibilities were distributed among all village level societies and women alliances.
This was decided on Wednesday in a meeting held at the Ladakh Buddhist Association (LBA) under the chairmanship of Vice President LBA, P.T Kunzang. The meeting was attended by representatives from LBA Youth Wing, LBA Women Wing, various societies, Nabarders and women alliances.
His Holiness the Dalai Lama who is in Leh these days had arrived in Ladakh on 25th July this year. The teaching for public is scheduled from 19th to 21st August. His Holiness will give a teaching on Shantideva’s A Guide to the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life (Chodjug) will also confer the Avalokiteshhvera Initiation (Wang) at Jivetsal Teaching Ground.
The Dalai Lama will also inaugurate Fourth Yarchos Chenmo at Thiksay Monastery in the 2nd week of August. At Thiksay His Holiness will give a teaching on Atisha’s Lamp for the Path to Enlightenment (Jangchup Lamdron) and Nagarjuna’s Commentary on Bodhicitta (Jangchup Semdrel) and confer a long life empowerment (Tsewang) and be offered a long life prayer.
