Lawyers’ protest enters day 72, memorandum presented to Sukhnandan

JAMMU: The ongoing agitation of lawyers practicing in Jammu wing of J&K High Court and Subordinate Courts, demanding open entry in courts, completed 72 days on Saturday. On the occasion, lawyers held a Dharna in Janipur Courts Complex. Former Minister, Ch Sukhnandan also visited Dharna site and interacted with protesting lawyers, who highlighted their demands. A copy of memorandum was also presented to former Minister.
The Dharna was attended by advocates J A Kazmi (former vice president), B S Manhas, K K Pangotra, Baldev Singh Slathia (former acting president Jammu Bar),H C Jalmeria Convener of Action Committee, M P Gupta (former Secretary Jammu Bar),C S Gupta (Former Secretary Jammu Bar), B R Sharma (Former Vice President Jammu Bar), Rajinder Kumar Chanyal, K C Sharma, Vijay Sharma, Rajinder Singh Jamwal, Subodh Singh Jamwal, Ashok Misra, Shah Mohd Choudhary, J P Sharma, Imtiyaz Mir (Doda Bar), Meharban Singh, V S Saini, Daljeet Singh Manha (former Young Lawyers president), Meenakshi Slathia, Manohar Gupta, Surjit Singh Andotra, K S Chib, Anil Khajuria, Abdul Rouf Lone, Manohar Lal, Ajay Singh Manhas, Vir Ranshore and Atul Raina.
