Lawyers’ protest continues demanding open entry in courts

JAMMU: Demanding open entry in courts, the ongoing agitation of lawyers practicing in Jammu wing of J&K High Court and Subordinate Courts completed 69 days on Wednesday. The lawyers held a Dharna in Janipur Court complex in support of their demands and sought immediate measures for fulfilling the same. The lawyers Action Committee is carrying ahead the agitation since October 15, 2020 in protest against continuation of suspension of normal functioning of High Court and Subordinate Courts since March 2020.
The protest was attended by advocates J A Kazmi (former vice president), H C Jalmeria Convener of Action Committee, R S Kotwal, C S Gupta (Former Secretary Jammu Bar), Vinod Abrol, B R Chandan, B R Sharma (Former Vice President Jammu Bar), Vijay Sharma, K K Abrol, Shah Mohd Choudhary, J P Sharma, Manohar Gupta, Rakesh Singh Slathia, Rakesh Chargotra, K S Chib, S C Sharma, R S Durswal, Dinesh S Jamwal, Manohar Lal, S K Rao, Amit Gupta, Arvind Jalmeria, Manohar Anthal, P L Sharma, Mulkh Raj, Mehmood A Shaad, Shazia Azad, Altaf Hussain Janjua, Karan Kapoor, S Z Ahmed, Mehul Puri, Shiv Dev Thakur, Amit Sharma, Sumit Khajuria, Gagandeep Singh Lucky and Manjit Singh.
