JAMMU: The lawyers held demonstration within the Janipur Jammu Court Complex on Friday in support of their demand for construction of multi storeyed building in Janipur Court Complex.
Besides the office bearers M.K Bhardwaj, Sr. Adv & President, Mohinder Pal Singh Palli Vice President, Surjeet Singh Andotra General Secretary, Aditya Sharma Joint Secretary, Amandeep Singh Treasurer, Rohit Sharma President YLA, Gagandeep Singh Lucky Vice President, Yasir Farooq Khan General Secretary, Karanjeet Singh Johal Joint Secretary, Naresh Kumar Treasurer, many other senior and young lawyers participated in the demonstration.
The lawyers were raising slogans against the non responsive and stubborn attitude of the Government towards the genuine demand projected by J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu and other Bar Associations of Jammu province for bringing all the judicial and quasi-judicial authorities within the court premises. This demand is in the interest of general public as well as the lawyers who have to run to different places for attending their matters concerning registration, CAT, AFT, Consumer cases DRT etc. Government is for the welfare and convenience of the public and not for creating problems and harassment to the public, complained the lawyers during the protest.
They were also expressing anguish over the Government attitude for ignoring people support given to the J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu as the demand is in public interest. The President of the Bar Association M.K Bhardwaj asked the Government not to test the patience of the lawyers and concede the very genuine demand at the earliest.
