JAMMU: The students of Lawrence Public School, Panjtirthi attended 17th National Jamboree held at Mysore, Karnataka.
The event was inaugurated by President, Pranab Mukherjee wherein more than 27,000 Scouts and Guides from more than six different SAARC nations participated.
President award winner Sonam Angmo and Sukriti Gupta of Lawrence Public School were selected for Colour Party and had the honour of displaying the National Flag and Bharat Scouts and Guides Flag during the March Past.
In the week long Jamboree, students participated in challenging activities including service oriented activities, integration and fun based programmes along with games, global village development, visit to adventure valley and park.
Mohd. Samee, Sonam Angmo and Sukriti Gupta of Lawrence Public School were presented achievement certificates and trophies by the Commissioner Scouts and Guides, I.D Soni.
The students were accompanied by Scouts Contingent Leader, H.L Dogra and Guides Contingent Leader, Veena. The Founder Principal, Lawrence Public School, Shakuntla Joshi congratulated the students and appreciated the efforts of their Guide Captain Jyoti Verma.
