JAMMU: Land Donor Employees Union Association of the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department threatened to come on road, for seeking justice in case their demands are not fulfilled immediately.
Scores of land donor employees on Friday assembled at Exhibition Ground near Press Club and held a protest against the concerned authority for not paying any heed for redressal of the genuine grievances since last three years.
Speaking on the occasion, Ravinder Singh, President of the Union, raised the issue of non-implementation of order passed by the Commissioner/Secretary, PHE, I and FC Department Jammu in April 2012 to engage the persons in PHE Department in lieu of their land donated to the PHE Depaerment for setting up the infrastructure for the welfare of the general public.
The union members strongly urged upon the PHE authorities for immediate regularisation of the PHE employees falling under this category at their respective places of posting and further release their pending wages. They also requested to ensure regular release of wages.
