NOWSHERA: Wrestler Lakhwinder Singh of Ludhiana lifted Seri Dangal 2016 title by defeating Shemsher Singh of Udhampur in a tough fight.
The Dangal was organised by Seri Dangal Committee at Seri, here on Sunday.
The Member of Dangal Committee, Kashmir Singh told the significance of organising this Dangal annually after third day of Baisakhi.
About 40 bouts were played in this day long Dangal.
The winner of the main bout Lakhwinder got cash prize of Rs 10,000 while runner up wrestler Shamsher received cash prize of Rs 4,000.
Second bout was won by wrestler Ballu of Gurdaspur, who defeated wrestler Ali.
The winner got Rs 8,000 while runner up got Rs 3,000 as cash prize. Third bout was won by Parlahd of Mahore at Reasi, who defeated Mukha Pahalwan and got a cash prize of Rs 4,000.
