LEH: The Indus Chushot Polo Club on Monday organized a meeting at Council Secretariat with CEC, LAHDC, Dr. Sonam Dawa, EC-Tourism Tsering Sandup and EC-Sheep Husbandry /Councillor-Chuchot constituency Mumtaz Hussain.
The meeting was regarding the upcoming Ladakh Polo festival to be held from 11th to 17th July 2016 organised by Indus Chushot Polo Club.
The aim of the meeting was to seek support and cooperation of the Hill Council for the success of this event.
Tundup Dorjey, President Indus Chushot Polo Club, said that the festival is aimed to revive the heritage polo game and to bring Chushot on the tourist map of Ladakh.
“The festival will also provide a platform for the women self help groups to exhibit the local food and cuisine and the handicrafts,” he added.
Congratulating on this initiative, Dr. Dawa and Tsering Sandup assured every possible support and co-operation to make this event successful and beneficial for all.
