KVK imparts training on organic farming

REASI: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Reasi of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J) concluded five programmes of five days long training on organic farming/natural farming/cow based economy/sustainable agriculture at Organic Training Centre, Talwara of Reasi District. The training programmes were attended by 150 farmers (five batches of 30 farmers) from different districts of Jammu province. The programmes were sponsored by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi under Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhaya Unnat Krishi Shiksha Yojana. The programmes were organised under the guidance of Vice Chancellor (VC) Dr.P.K Sharma and Associate Director Extension (ADE) and Incharge of all the KVKs, Dr.R.K Arora of SKUAST-J. Scientist and Head of Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Reasi, Dr. Banarsi Lal, Dr. Amitesh Sharma, SKUAST-J Scientist , Dr. SK Singh, SKUAST-J Scientist and Dr. Suja Nabi Qureshi, scientist.
Mohan Lal, Sub-Division Agricultural Officer (SDAO), Reasi, Gopal Krishen, Agriculture Extension Officer (AEO), Reasi , Dr. Satish Bardwaz, DSP from J&K Police, Anil Suri , Dr. Arvinder Kumar, Farm Manager , Dr. Mandeep Singh Azad, scientist also spoke on the occasion. Hans Raj and Subash Chander, progressive organic crops grower shared their experiences on organic farming.
