UDHAMPUR: Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) No.1 Udhampur celebrated Annual Day in the Vidyalaya premises.
The celebration commenced with the welcome to Chief Guest Col. Sushil Kapoor, Admn. Comd., HQ 71 Sub Area, Nominee Chairman Col. Tiwari, Principals of various KVs by Principal Dr. R. Prasad, Vice Principal Basanti Khampa, Vikramaditya, Neeta Motten and Sanjay Kumar.
Melodious Vedic Mantra Recitation was done during the lightening of the lamp.
The cultural bonanza began with a welcome song and formal welcome extended by Principal. He presented the Annual report of various activities undergone during session.
Prize distribution ceremony was organised to acknowledge and appreciate the achievements of the students who have made the Vidyalaya proud not only academically but in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities by the gracious hands of Chief Guest Col. Susheel Kapoor.
Newsletters of CMP, EQUIP, Sports were also released on the occasion.
Chief Guest gave away his blessings and showed elation in witnessing the event. He appreciated the role of KVs in developing Mini India concept. Goddess of wisdom Maa Saraswati was praised before further cultural programme. The budding talents of the Vidyalaya captivated the gathering with their stupendous performance in different programmes representing ways to strengthen National Integration.
One Act Play in Hindi ‘Hum Sab Bhoot Hain’ indeed generated humors and gave the message of solving the mystery between life and death.
Vice Principal Basanti Khampa presented a vote of thanks. Sanjay Purohit, Jyotsna Sirohi, Namita Tyagi and Meenakshi coordinated the function.
