Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi TV Review: Shaheer Sheikh and Supriya Pilgaonkar’s family drama is GRIPPING!

The facade of a rich mansion might be somewhat deja vu but the emotional core of this soap is what is riveting in this tale of a son’s dilemma
Everyone sat up when the first promos of Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi came out. That was largely due to the presence of the dashing Shaheer Sheikh, who is touted as one of the most handsome bachelors of the TV industry. Tonight, we saw the first episode of the show and the Mahabharat actor does not disappoint at all.
The story starts off with a 25-year-old business tycoon, Dev Dikshit bringing his family home to a sprawling new mansion. He has a mother and three sisters with varied personalities.
We understand that he has struggled to reach where he is and deeply attached to his mother. A word of mention must be made of Supriya Pilgaonkar aka Ishwari who is equally touched and awed by her son’s commitment towards the family. It is a classic mother-son relationship as shown on many shows but the intensity is much higher.
Ishwari knows her son is an achiever but is unhappy to know that he still has his demons chasing him. Shaheer as Dev sets the tone for his character from the word go. Focused, reserved, stubborn, grounded and somewhat sentimental, it is a role any actor would love to dig into.
There is also an insight into his relationship with his sister, Neha, who perhaps got a shabby treatment in the quest of fulfilling his needs. The Dikshit family is close-knit but not saccharine sweet.
Actor Mushtaq Khan is also a part of the show. We get to see a bit of Erica Fernandes on the show but it’s too early to comment on her. In the mean time, Shaheer and Supriya should take a bow!
