NEW DELHI: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) expressed concern on the deteriorating condition in the Kashmir Valley.
While addressing party activists meeting here on Sunday, KPC Chief Kundan Kashmiri said “It is unfortunate that during the present dispensation the anti-national elements have spread their tentacles in Valley and other parts of the State.
“Increased human losses especially of security force personnel are taking place for the last couple of months. A new strategy by the terrorists is to attack the forces and then merge in the public just to provoke security forces for retaliatory action and thereby branding them (security forces) as anti-public,” he said adding that people on the contrary are shielding them making the job of security forces more difficult. However, KPC Chief appreciated the action of security forces in killing the dreaded militant Burhan Wani and expressed anguish that the dedication of valour soldiers is being destroyed by the effective support of certain section of political bosses in one way or the other. “Whether it is the previous dispensations or the incumbent, they are busy in tit for tat for the sake of attaining power, neglecting the actual state of affairs in the trouble ridden Jammu and Kashmir”, he said and warned the State and the Central Governments to contain the deteriorating situation in the Valley otherwise things will soon become out of control. Speaking on amnesty to stone pelters, he said that it is quite unfortunate that government has facilitated those who have vitiated the situation to a large extent.
