Kitchloo flays PDP-BJP for continued political stalemate, failure on all fronts

KISHTWAR: Saying divisive politics has no place in a pluralistic State like Jammu and Kashmir, Senior National Conference leader and former Minister Sajjad Ahmed Kitchloo on Thursday expressed concern over continued political uncertainty while describing it as a bad omen for democratic polity.
“For lust of power, some political entities are testing the patience of people by prolonging the stalemate instead of paving way for seeking fresh mandate”, Kitchloo said while welcoming prominent BJP leader Kuldeep Sharma and his associates into National Conference.
The former minister cautioned people against the machinations of PDP and BJP, saying after failing on deliverance front their effort has been to divert the attention of people by raking up frivolous issues. He hoped the people will demonstrate their time-tested resilience and work for strengthening the bonds of unity and amity for which the State is known.
Kitchloo exuded confidence that with the joining of people, belonging to various shades of life, the mass movement launched by Sher-i-Kashmir will realise the vision the towering leader stood for. He said history stands testimony to the fact that the towering party leaders have worked tirelessly for strengthening the bonds of unity and amity. “This spirit is to be emulated and bequeathed to the posterity”, he added.
Kitchloo urged the party workers to work with a sense of commitment in remote areas and help in mitigating the problems of the people.
Prominent among those who joined the National Conference included Suresh Kumar, Pawan Kumar, Kewal Krishan, Lal Chand, Rishi Kumar, Kaant Ram and Shakti Kumar.
Those present on the occasion included Mohd Amin Lone, Block President Trigam, Sarpanch Baldev, Sarpanch Mushtaq Ahmed, Ikhlaq Butt Mandal President YNC, Ikhlaq Ahmed Dev, Sheikh Moin and others. They congratulated the new entrants for their decision to serve the people under the banner of National Conference.
