KISHTWAR: People are up in arms against administration for bad condition of their roads and demanded early start of black topping on a Link Road from village Suzna to Razna in Palmar area of District Kishtwar. There is only link to connect these villages with the Distt Head quarter and is consisting 600 people.
According to the local residents, this road was constructed by PMGSY agency few years back. But it is matter of great concern that so far no agency bother to repair this road and it has become headache for the general masses of the area due to the worst condition of the road as they use this road on daily basis.
One of the local resident Shabir Ahmed Mattoo said that condition of the road is miserable and inform District Administration and concerned department several times for its repair and black topping but nothing was done in this regard.
Residents alleged that the road is way to one of the famous shrine of Palmar which is called as Ziarat Rakna, where throughout the year hundreds of devotees visit this holy shrine but due to worst condition of the road they also suffer.
Nasir Ahmed Butt Youth Congress Leader and a resident of Patimhala said that many bought Cruiser through bank loans but they turn defaulters as they fail to run their vehicles regularly which often develop technical snags due to detorating condition of road. People of these villages have urged upon the district administration of Kishtwar to immediately start work on black topping of Suzna to Rakna road, so that people residing in these far-off villages can also take a sigh of relief.
After several tries, XEn PMGSY couldn’t not be contacted as his cell number was not reachable.
