SRINAGAR: The first ever Kids Tag Rugby meet for under-10, under-12 and under-14 boys and girls concluded with the holding of prize distribution function at Indoor Complex, here. The event was organised by J and K Rugby Association and sponsored by State Sports Council.
Vice Chairman of LAWDA, Sarmad Hafeez was Chief Guest, who distributed certificates and other prizes among the winners and runners up teams and individuals.
Director Scholars Educational Institution, Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather, Dr Suhail Rehman Chowdhary, Principal, Iqra International Group of Schools, Irfan Aziz Butta, secretary, Mufti Hamid Yaseeen and Sheikh Tulal Ahmad were among others present.
The final results:
GIRLS: Under-10 year: Green Valley Red, Ist and Bisons Rugby, 2nd. Under-12 year: Green Valley Blue, Ist and Sailah Sublime, 2nd.
BOYS: Under-10 year: Scholars School Natipora, Ist; Iqra International, 2nd and Green Valley 3rd. Under-12 year: Linton Hall School, Ist; Green Valley Yellow, 2nd and Green Valleyball White, 3rd. Under-14 year: Green Valley, Ist; Linton Hall School, 2nd and Shah Hamadan, 3rd.
