SRINAGAR: The first ever kids (under-10, 12 and 14 year) Rugby tournament got underway at Indoor Complex, Bakshi Stadium, here under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir Rugby Association.
Called as Tag Rugby (non contact), comprising five players and two other substitutes a side, the meet shall continue for two days. The event, sponsored by the J and K State Sports Council, has attracted a good number of boys and girls, with total strength taking part touching the 200 mark.
Earlier, the competition was declared open by Joint Secretary of Sports Council (Kashmir), J.B Singh, who was accompanied by Divisional Sports Officer, Mushtaq Ahmad, Haji Mirza and Sheikh Tulal Ahmad.
