RAJOURI: Police on Thursday recovered a minor girl from the clutches of kidnapper within 24 hours.
According to a report, on 13th Jan 2016, one Abdul Qayoom resident of Dodasan Bala Rajouri lodged a written report at Police Station Thanamandi that his daughter (age 15 years) had gone to Thanamandi Market but didn’t return back. He alleged that one Mohd Fareed son of Meaan resident of Bathian, Thanamandi has kidnapped his daughter.
Accordingly, case under FIR No.06/2016 section 363/109 RPC was registered in Police Station Thanamandi and investigation was taken up. SSP Rajouri Rajeshwar Singh, deputed police party of Police Station Thanamandi headed by SI Mukesh Sharma under the supervision of SHO Police Station Thanamandi Inspector Narinder Singh Chib to Rajouri and Darhal for recovery of abducted girl. On 14th Jan 2016, acting on specific information, police recovered the abducted girl from the possession of accused Mohd Fareed and arrested him.
After medical examination and other legal formalities, police restored the girl to her parents and further investigation is going on.
