RAJOURI: Police on Saturday recovered a kidnapped minor girl within 24 hours and arrested the accused at Rajouri.
According to a report, on 1st Jan 2016, a person namely Abdul Rashid son of Ali Mohd resident of Draj, Budhal lodged a written report at Police Station Budhal that his 15 years daughter had gone to Budhal market but didn’t return back. He alleged that one Gultaj son of Muzmal Din resident of Draj, Budhal Rajouri has kidnapped his minor daughter with the conspiracy of seven others.
Accordingly, case under FIR No.01/2016 section 363/109 RPC was registered in Police Station Budhal, series of raids were carried out at different suspected locations and few suspects were picked up and questioned by police. Finally acting on a specific information police party from Budhal Police station recovered the girl from Nanga Thub on 2nd Jan 2016 and arrested the accused namely Gultaj on the spot. After medical examination and other legal formalities, Police handed over the girl to her parents.
