JAMMU: Two women athletes from J&K, Khushi Gupta and Ruhi Rajput have been selected in the Indian team for the upcoming VI Rollball World Cup hosted by India at Pune in Maharashtra from April 21 to 26.
In total, 35 teams of the world shall take part in this week-long mega event of World Cup, a handout issued by the Rollball Association of J&K here on Saturday informed.
Both these athletes have been selected considering their performance at the National level and subsequently at the ongoing National coaching camp.
While Khushi Gupta pursuing Masters Degree in Psychology, Ruhi is a BAMS student at SLN Ayurvedic College and Hospital.
Khushi has already won Silver medal in the 5th edition of the Rollball World Cup held in 2019 has won number of medals at the National events. On the other hand, Ruhi has won gold medal in the 3rd Asian Rollball Championship held in 2019 and gold in 2nd Federation Cup held in 2018 in addition to other medals at the National championships.
