Khattar to personally review progress of projects
Chandigarh:- Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today said he will personally review the progress of various projects announced by him to ensure speedy execution.
Khattar was reviewing the progress of projects in a meeting with Administrative Secretaries of various departments here, an official release said.
He said he will convene meetings of all concerned Administrative Secretaries every month to analyse the new announcements made by him and also fix the timeline for their completion.
Khattar directed all departments to complete all formalities with regard to the implementation of such announcements within a week they are announced for their early execution.
Besides, he also directed the secretaries to ensure that various development projects being implemented in the state are completed well before their fixed time limit and the progress of any such announcement should not be affected for want of funds.
In case, any department faces difficulty regarding funds, it should inform well in time so that required funds could be arrange for the same, he added.
The chief minister also directed all the Deputy Commissioners to personally visit the areas along the railway lines passing through their respective districts to ensure cleanliness as such areas and drains are usually more prone to open defecation.
“Though the land belongs to the Railways, yet it is our responsibility to keep it clean and provide a healthy atmosphere to the people of the state,” Khattar said.
The Urban Local Bodies Department has already started the process for setting up of mobile toilets along the railway lines.
Reviewing the progress of shifting of dairies from the towns in the state, Khattar the department to coordinate with Animal Husbandry and Dairying Department for early shifting of these dairies and also fix a timeline for the same.
He also directed utilisation of funds under the Rashtriya Gokul Mission for the setting up of “Gau Abhayaranyas” (cow sanctuaries) in the state.
