KEG apprises CM about issues of newspapers

SRINAGAR: In order to apprise the Chief Minister about the issues confronting the newspapers in the State, a delegation of newly constituted Kashmir Editors’ Guild (KEG) called on the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti here on Tuesday.
Led by its president and Editor-in-Chief of Greater Kashmir Group of Publications Fayaz Ahmad Kaloo, the delegation informed the CM about the problems being faced by the newspapers.
The Chief Minister hoped the Guild would play its role in strengthening the institution of journalism in the State for which she said Government would all along be supportive, besides assuring them that the issues raised by them would be examined and looked into.
Minister for Finance, Dr Haseeb A Drabu and Minister for Education, Naeem Akhtar besides Director Information, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary were present on the occasion.
