KCPS students excel at ‘Welmun 2017’ in Dehradun

JAMMU: A total of 22 students of KC Public School (KCPS) attended the three-day Model United Nations ‘WELMUN 2017′ held at Welham Boys’ School, Dehradun recently.
The largest contingent of 22 delegates from KCPS led by School Coordinator Shobna Sethi consisted of Manvika Gupta, Ninaad Mahajan, Avantika Khajuria, Karan Dhar, Ribhav Mittal, Sahar Rohmetra, Apoorvi Gupta, Isha Khurana, Amodhini Karwani, Shreya Mohan, Hanumat Sharma, Vansh Vardaan Singh, Sindhu Jain, Soumya Kapur, Ojas Kapur, Maitri Gupta, Harit, Samreen, Fatima, Rehana Batool, Adesh Nargotra, Khevan Kachroo and Ayushmaan Sharma.
During the event, KCPS students interacted with students of premier schools of India such as Doon School, Mayo College (Girls), Modern School Barakhamba Road and Bhawan’s Chandigarh.
They got recognised in their respective committees on the theme ‘Solidarity from Strife’ in the presence of the Secretary General Dev Goel.
KCPS Head Girl Manvika Gupta brought glory to her school by receiving Verbal Mention Award at the awards presentation ceremony for her note-worthy role in the All India Political Parties Meet Committee.
The concluding function on July 30 was graced by the presence of Dr. Shaida Mohammad Abdali, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in India as the Chief Guest and Merwais Nazari of the Cultural Department of the same Mission in India as the Guest of Honour.
