JAMMU: KC Sports Club on Friday made its both state of the art squash courts operational by introducing the game to young members here. The facility is first of its kind in the private sector in Jammu and Kashmir with only court available in the premises of Jammu Club.
“The two squash courts at the Club meet global standards. The wooden flooring has been made from the finest maple wood imported from abroad and both courts are fitted with custom made lighting system,” a handout issued by the club here on Friday informed. Further, the glass partitions facing the spacious foyer between the courts offer the ease of watching people playing the game so that the beginners in particular can pick a tab or two on playing techniques of the game.
“The game has caught the fancy of young students taking part in the ongoing Winter Camp at the Club and they are learning the game under the supervision of an expert and experienced coach. The courts remain open throughout the day and people can tailor their preferred time schedule as per their own convenience,” added the handout.
