KC Gurukul Public School holds inter-school folk song competition

JAMMU: An inter-school folk song competition was organised by KC Gurukul Public School Paloura under the banner of Sahodya School Complex Jammu Chapter, on Saturday in its school premises in a befitting manner.
Prestigious schools of Jammu and Udhampur participated in this event in order to strengthen cordial relations amongst the CBSE schools, besides this opportunity provided to young scholars to excel in co-scholastic areas.
Yogita Yadav, Senior Sub Editor in Dainik Jagran was the Chief Guest and the judges were Roshi Shaminotra, Jasmeet Kour and Trivid Sharma while Guest of Honour was Brij Mohan.
They were full of praise for the competitors for their expressive abilities and
mastery over their accomplishment. The judges evaluated the entire episode. It was a real treat to watch the team participation of different schools.
Earlier Head Mistress KCGPS Paloura Anju Razdan extended warm welcome to all the participants and the dignitaries and it was followed by an opening song presented by the school choir group where as DPS Katra presented a welcome dance. The Host KC Gurukul Public School dominated the show by bagging first prize. Second prize was awarded to MV International and Jodhamal Public Schools which was a tie between these two schools and consequently Jammu Sanskriti bagged third prize. The consolation prize was collected by GD Goenka Public School.
Amongst the participating schools were APS Damana, MV International, APS Nagrota, JK Public School, Jodhamal Public School, Jammu Sanskriti School, Bhramrishi Bawra School Udhampur, GD Goenka Public School and KC Gurukul Public School Paloura. Academic Director of the host School, Vijay Puri encouraged the participants for their unprecedented caliber. Yogita Yadav congratulated the winners and appreciated their efforts.
The prizes and the certificates were given away by the Chief Guest and the Academic Director Vijay Puri.
Neera Dogra, Senior Coordinator presented the vote of thanks. Competition ended with a note to promote spirit of fellowship amongst the CBSE schools in and around Jammu, besides achieving excellence in all the spheres of education.
