KATHUA : A large scale protest was organised by the Kathua Unit of Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday against the party high command for nominating outsider for Kathua Constituency.
The protesters took out a rally from District Police Line Kathua which passed through Shaheedi and Mukherjee Chowks raising , “Rajeev Jasrotia go back”. The rally was joined by all the BJP leaders and workers besides the general public including women.
Speakers in this rally told that the strongest BJP centre has been rendered as the weakest one due to wrong mandate which could result into great loss for the party.
Prominent among those present in the rally included Janak Bharti State Executive member, Gopal Mahajan Distt General Secretary, Ragunandan Singh Distt General Secretary, Dr Narinder Singh Jasrotia State Executive Member, Romesh Mehra OBC Distt President, Chanchla Devi Distt President Women Cell, Sourav Gupta Distt Secretary, Ghulam Ali Distt Secretary, Prem Nath Dogra Distt Vice President, Vikas Kant Gupta Yuva Morcha General Secretary, Arpan Verma Yuva Morcha Secretary, Nisha Gupta, Asha Rani, Jugal Kishore, Neena Sharma, Bodh Raj Sharma and Sat Pal Sharma.
Meanwhile similar protest was held at Ramkote, Billawar also under the leadership of Narayan Datt Tripathi where the people shouted slogans, “Nirmal Singh go back”.
The protesters in both the cases have demanded local candidates who can deliver better than the outsiders.
