Kathua court denies Bail to alleged rapist

JAMMU: Principal Sessions Judge Kathua Vinod Chatterji Koul rejected the bail application of Devinder Kumar alias Billi, son of Balkar Chand, resident of Chak Darab Khan, Tehsil and District Kathua who was allegedly involved in a woman’s rape.
According to the police case that on 8th October, 2014, prosecutrix lodged a written complaint to the police stating therein that on 7th October, 2014 in the evening, she was alone at her home and at about 2:00 AM, petitioner with criminal intention entered her house and committed rape after gagging her mouth. On her raising hue and cry, her mother-in-law came on spot and the petitioner fled away. When her husband came home, she narrated the whole incident to him. Petitioner had also threatened that in case, she narrates the incident to the police, he will kill her. On this report, police registered the case under FIR No. 351/2014 for offences punishable under sections 452/376 RPC and the investigation was started. JNF
