Kashmir Sikh Sangat to organise convention on Feb 24

JAMMU: To deliberate upon the functioning of the organisation during last one year and the future course of action for the coming year, Kashmir Sikh Sangat (KSS) is organising 17th Annual Convention at Jammu Club on 24th February 2017 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM.
This was stated by Chairman of the Organisation, Dhanwant Singh in a press conference, here on Wednesday.
During the event, he said, awards will be given to the deserving members of the community for their distinguished services rendered by them in different fields.
In addition to this, he added, convention will give opportunity to highlight the genuine demands and problems faced by Sikh community including the minority commission issue.
“Sikh community a micro minority living in the turmoil turned Valley of Kashmir is being ignored by the government for their rightful issues which will be thoroughly deliberated and discussed in the convention,” he informed.
Speaker, Legislative Assembly Kavinder Gupta has given his consent to be the Chief Guest for the event and Charanjit Singh Khalsa MLC will be Guest of Honour, he said.
The chairman and executive body of the organisation appealed to the delegates, members of organisation to attend the programme to make the convention successful.
Among others who attended the press conference include Sewa Singh (President), Baboo Singh (General Secretary), Mangeet Singh, G.S Mehta, Harbajan Singh, T.P Singh, K.N Singh, G.S Reen, Inderjeet Singh and Sukhdev Singh.
