Kargil observes Bandh over killings in Kashmir

KARGIL: Islamia School Kargil condemned the killings of innocent Kashmiri civilians and observed complete Bandh in Kargil District on the call of Jammiatul Ulama Hozia Ilmia Asna Ashriya.
All the business establishments, schools and government offices remained closed in the district.
The President, Islamia School Kargil, Sheikh Nazir Ul Mehdi told that the continuous unrest in Kashmir Valley has greatly hampered the whole peaceful atmosphere of life especially in Valley and in the whole State of J and K in general. Condemning the killing of civilians in Kashmir during the last few days, Sheikh urged upon the Government of India and Chief Minister of J and K Mehbooba Mufti to resolve the unrest situation of the Valley as soon as possible on top priority and lift the curfew to restore peace and harmony in the State.
He also told that public unrest in the Valley has subsequently affected the education of the students for their future careers.
Sheikh also urged upon the government to make all necessary arrangement for stocking of essential commodities for all remote areas of J and K State while Ladakh region remains cut-off from rest of the world during the winter season after closure of Zojila Pass and the continuous strike and imposition of curfew in Kashmir Valley will hamper the stocking position of remote areas in time, which will lead to huge public crisis during the winter.
He also thanked the Merchant Association, Taxi and Truck Union, Omni Van, Bus and Mini Bus Unions and other trade unions, political parties, student unions of Kargil District for supporting the call of Bandh.
