POONCH: Kanuyian-XI and Young Cricket Club (YCC) Mendhar registered win in respective league match of the ongoing Police Martyrs T-20 Cricket Tournament being organised by District Police Poonch under Civic Action Programme at Government Degree College Ground, here on Saturday.
In the first match played today, Kanuyian-XI defeated Dalera-XI by five wickets. Dalera-XI, batting first after winning the toss, scored 91 runs, while in reply Kanuyian-XI scored 92 for the loss of five wickets.
In another match, YCC Mendhar trounced Challenger Cricket Club Poonch by three wickets.
YCC Mendhar won the toss and elected to field first. Challenger Cricket Club Poonch, batting first, scored 99 runs.
Chasing the target, YCC Mendhar scored 100 runs for the loss of seven wickets.
Mujeeb-Ur-Rehman-DySP Hqrs and Mohd Rafi Giri-DySP DAR were the Chief Guests of first and second match respectively.
District Youth and Sports Officer Narjeet Singh, Surinder Singh Narinder Singh, Parithpal Singh, Tariq Mahmood, SI Mohd Khan, Vijay Kumar were also present.
