Kaka of RS Pura lifts Ist Manda Dangal Title

UDHAMPUR: Wrestler Kaka of RS Pura Jammu clinched the First Manda Dangal title outplaying wrestler Maana of Chandigarh, in the main bout that lasted for 13 minutes played at village Manda in Tehsil and District Udhampur.

The Dangal, in which 54 bouts were played, was held under the overall supervision of President J and K Indian Style Wrestling Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma and Sarpanch Sheetal Chander Seth (President of the Dangal Committee and retired Headmaster).

Dangal was organised by Manda Dangal Committee in collaboration with J and K Indian Style Wrestling Association.

Minister for State Finance and Information Technology, Pawan Gupta was the Chief Guest who gave away cash prizes to the winner and runner-up wrestlers.

Treasurer Indian Style Wrestling Association of India and President Senior Citizens Welfare Forum Katra, Shiv Kumar Sharma presided over the function.

BJP Senior Leader Raj Kumar Buccha, SHO O.P Chib, President District Udhampur Indian Style Wrestling Association Varinder Badyal, General Secretary Reasi Indian Style Wrestling Association Naresh Kumar (Pappu Lakri) and Treasurer District India Style Wrestling Satish Kumar were the Guests of Honour.

Winner of main bout wrestler Kaka was awarded with cash prize of Rs 6,000 by Pawan Gupta, Shiv Kumar Sharma in presence of Sarpanch Sheetal Chander Seth who is also President Manda Dangal Committee and members including Manohar Lal, Numberdar Bittu, Sudesh Kumar (Shotu), Sunil Kumar, Pandit Totu, Bodh Raj Seth, Sansar Chand, Brakat Ali, Akram Din, Ashok Seth, Sanjay Sharma and Gardeep Singh. Runner-up wrestler Manna awarded with cash prize of Rs 5,000.

The second main bout between Ajay Kumar Sharma of Landen Power House Udhampur and Lalu of Bishnah was ended in a draw and both the wrestlers jointly awarded with cash prize of Rs 7,000.

Third bout was won by Lallu of Bajrangi Akhara Jammu who defeated Tinku of Rohtak. Fourth bout was won by Amir Khan of Nargada who defeated Herbind of Banaras (UP). Fifth bout was won by Roshan Lal of J and K Police of Muthi Jammu who defeated Raj Kumar of Delhi.

Technical officials who helped in the conduct of this event included Naresh Kumar (Pappu) Lakri), Varinder Badyal, Satish Kumar, Deep Singh (PInka), Viswa Nath, Chunni Lal, mohd. Fareed, Rajinder Kumar (Shosha), Ashok kumar, Murli Dhar (Munna), Raj Singh and Tulinder Kumar.

Others Result: Zaker of Sarore beat Teg Ali of Malerkotla, Babba of Kot Bhawal beat Jowan of Chandigarh, Akram of Chouadi beat Herbind of banaras, Muskeen of Ramnagar beat Laikat Ali of Panthal, Bharat Bushan of Domana Akhara beat Mustaq of Samba, Chinni of Banaras beat Rinku of Delhi, Angrej Singh of Jungalgali beat Asraf of Domana Akhara, Zokat of Chandigarh beat Prahald of Kalakote, Liakat Ali of Bajrangi Akhara beat Kalu of Udhampur, Chandan of Banaras beat Bittu of Jammu, Dheeraj Singh of Jungalgali beat Muskeen of Chopra Shop and Pawan Kumar of Reasi beat Karnail Singh of Batote.
