JAMMU: On fifth day of the ongoing short-story workshop jointly organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) and Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi at KL Saigal Hall, Surinder Neer, Punjabi short-story writer, presented her Punjabi short-story Lawassey.
Prof. Lalit Magotra, Convener, Dogri Advisory Board, Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi, Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary, Dr. Rattan Basotra, Assistant Editor, JKAACL were also in the presidium.
Surinder Neer spoke about the techniques and importance of language and style for writing short-story. While sharing her experiences, she also informed about the craft and style while developing a thought in the form of plot of any creative writing.
In the second session, Krishan Sharma, a Dogri and Hindi writer, read out his short-story in Hindi titled-Tamashbeen.
Referring to the short-story of Surinder Neer-Lawassey while reacting, some of the students are of the view that the short-story very successfully conveys the massage of humanity, universal love and brotherhood negating the relations.
Among others present were Chattarpal, Dr. Baljeet Raina, Neeru Sharma, Sushil Begana, Reeta Khadyal and Deepika Abrol.
