POONCH : An old woman and her grand daughter were killed when the Kacha house they were living in, suddenly collapsed late in the evening on Monday in Tehsil Surankote, district Poonch.
According to SDM Surankote Mohd Afzal Mirza, the old woman namely Gulzar Bi mother of Zulafkar Ali resident of Upper Sanehi, Tehsil Surankote and her 5 years granddaughter namely Sobia Kouser daughter of Zulafkar Ali were killed when they were buried under debris of the Kacha house which collapsed late in the evening on Monday. Another girl namely Shahida Kouser daughter of Zulafkar Ali was injured.
The District Development Commissioner Poonch Mohd Haroon Malik has paid Rs 20,000 each to both the deceased from Red-Cross Society.
SDM assured the family that government will give all required assistance to them according to the rules.
