JAMMU: Jammu West Assembly Movement activists led by its president Sunil Dimple held a protest against the BJP-PDP Government and budget presented by the Finance Minister Hasib Darabu
Alleging the there is nothing for the development of Jammu region mentioned in the budget, protesters burnt the copies of the budget burnt.
Sunil Dimple, addressing the protesters, said that the budget presented by the Finance Minister is jugglery of words and directionless.
Dimple demanded from the Chief Minister Mahbooba Mufti and Finance Minister before finalizing and final approval to the budget allocate special funds for the development of the Jammu city and West Assembly Constituency as this is the largest constituency of the state. He asked government to allocate special funds to solve the traffic problem in the Jammu city, for construction of the Tawi artificial lake, Chenab Water Supply project for the inclusion of the development of the Tawi, Mubarkh Mandi as the tourist spot in the budget.
He demanded the State and central government to start the AIIMS like OPD in the GMC and Supper Specialist Hospital till the Jammu AIIMS starts.
Dimple also demanded that the stipend should be given to all the unemployed educated youths of the State, till they get jobs. Sham Saroop Gupta, Harbans Tondon, Madan Lal, Vijay Khjuria, Ajay Sharma, Satpal Kohli, D.N Magotra, Sat Pal Sharma, Ashok Khanna, Dev Raj, Vipan, Mukesh, Rakesh, Raj Kumar, Golu Singh and Karan Singh were also present in the protest.
