JAMMU: Member Parliament and Bharatiya Janata Party State President, Jugal Kishore Sharma, on Tuesday visited Rajiv Gandhi Sports Museum at 41-B, Karan Nagar Extn Jammu and was spellbound by the vast collection of Dr. Ashutosh Sharma since 1969 when he held various imp posts in the Central Government Indian Olympic Association, National Sports federations and State Sports Association.
The collection included photographs of dignitaries from all over the world, country and State, lapel pins of all the countries mementos, trophies, medals of all the functions organised by Prof Sharma, in and outside the country and also in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
He promised to render all help and cooperation to shift the museum to some suitable place to enable the general public and sportsmen, especially younger generation to visit the museum which will certainly serve as an incentive for them
Jugal also discussed with the sports connected persons who were present on the occasion about the measures to be adopted for the promotion and development of sports and games in the State.
The members present were Kiran Wattal, Vijay Saraf, Sarwant Singh Gill, Hardeep Singh Gill, Dr. Nirmolak Singh, Rajan Sharma, Ravinder Singh, Vikas Gupta, Raj Kumar, Ravi Salgotra, Subash Sharma, Tarsem Lal, Rajesh Kumar, Ajay Sharma, Jagpreet Singh and Ankush.
