JAMMU: The University of Jammu (JU) won Bronze medal in Fencing in the ongoing Khelo India University Games (KIUG) at Jain University, Bangeluru in Karnataka.
The JU team excelled in the men’s Sabre event finishing third. For the bronze medal, J&K defeated Manipur 45-28 points, reports reaching here said.
The medal winning JU team comprised fencers from affiliated colleges. The Bronze winning Sabre team included Udhay Veer Singh Chandel, Lakshay Sharma, Siddhant Raina and Suryansh Sharma.
The JU team is accompanied by Padam Dev Singh, Sunita Arora (Manager) and Maninder Pal Singh (Coach).
