JU football team to leave for NZ meet today

JAMMU: University of Jammu (JU) named its 20-member football (men) team for upcoming North Zone Inter-University Tournament scheduled to be held from January eight at Amity University, Noida under the banner of Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
Led by Gagandeep Singh of Post Graduate Departments of JU, the team shall depart for the venue on Wednesday. And, in the opening match of this knock-out event, JU shall take on Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University on January eight.
Earlier, the JU team underwent over month-long coaching camp under the guidance of JU football coach, Gagan Kumar. The team was finalised by the JU selection committee which met today under the chairmanship of Director Sports and Physical Education, Prof Dhian Singh Bhau.
The team is accompanied by JU football coach, Gagan Kumar while Arun accompanying as manager.
The Team: Gagandeep Singh (captain), Muzamil Mahmood, Ajay Sarin, Dharampal Singh, Stenzin, Rajinder Singh (all PG Departments of JU), Ankit Gupta, Surjit Pradhan, Lovish Kumar, Amit Sharma, Ajay Kumar Sharma, Shibam Gupta (all SPMR College of Commerce), Dushyant Sharma, Ravi Bhadur (both MAM College), Mufit Moin (ASCOMS), Amit Sharma (GGM Science College), Karanveer Singh (GDC Poonch), Ryaz Ali (GDC Paloura), Vivek Paul Singh and Vivaspan Sahni (both MBS College).
