JPDCL holds Board of Directors meeting; finalizes various issues including recruitment rules

JAMMU: Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (jpdcl) concluded its 15th meeting of Board of Directors at Civil Secretariat Jammu under the chairmanship of Jagmohan Sharma, Chairman JPDCL Board. Others present included Anand Jain, ADGP Jammu, Ramesh Kumar, Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Rahul Dwivedi, Executive Director, REC, Yasin M. Choudhary, Managing Director JPDCL, Mahesh Das, Director General (Codes), Zahoor Ahmad Wani, Director Finance PDD and Shivani Sharma, Director DP&R Division. Managing Director JPDCL Yasin Chaudhary gave brief of each agenda items which were discussed in detail. Many issues discussed during the meeting were of prime public and departmental importance and were pending since the unbundling of PDD. Among other matters the Board of Director also deliberated upon the Compassionate Appointment cases under SRO-43 of 1994 which involves relaxation with regard to age/qualification and Rehabilitation Assistance Scheme of the applicants/dependents of deceased employees. During the previous board meetings, various observations were raised regarding the qualification and age of the persons seeking employment under SRO-43, the scrutinized cases were deliberated upon during the board meeting and submitted for final approval. The Board of Directors have also discussed and deliberated upon the Draft Recruitment rules of Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited in respect of Non-Gazetted staff of JPDCL. Various important issues related to the recruitment rules which included Schedule-I involving the total sanctioned strength of Multi-Tasking and Technical staff were discussed threadbare. Also, the Schedule-II which deals with method of recruiting Ministerial cadre, Multi-Tasking Staff cadre and Executive/Technical staff was presented during the Board meeting and were submitted for approval of the board members. It was informed that the approved draft rules of recruitment shall be put in public domain for inviting objections from general public prior to its final submission to the Administrative department of the JKPDD.
