JAMMU: To enlighten the students with grand heritage and rich culture of Jammu and Kashmir, JP World School, organised a heritage walk at Mubarak Mandi Complex recently. Sixty students of class 8th visited the complex along with their mentor Meenu Bala.
The event was organised under the banner of SPIC MACAY which was coordinated by Dr. Rajneesh Khajuria-Professor, Law School, University of Jammu.
The students saw various buildings and palaces like the Darbar Hall Complex, the Pink Palace, Royal Courts buildings, Gol Ghar Complex, Nawa Mahal, Rani Charak Palace, Hawa Mahal, the Toshakhana Palace and the Sheesh Mahal.
The students were enriched and profound with learning after going through Dogra Art Museum wherein they saw old rifles, coins, paintings and other artifacts.
Kirpal Singh made the students aware about the history of the place. He exhorted the students to preserve great Indian culture and its rich heritage.
