SRINAGAR : In a saddening development, senior photo-journalist Shafat Siddiqui has died in the floods that swept the Valley on Sunday.
Shafat, working with Hindi daily Jagran, was covering the flood situation near Civil Secretariat on Sunday and was washed away by heavy flow of water gushing from the nearby Jhelum. He was considered missing for many days and today his body was recovered. Unconfirmed reports said that another photo-journalist is missing, but his identity is not known.
