JAMMU: Congress Legislative Party (CLP) leader, Rigzin Jora accused Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti for her callous, non-serious and insensitive attitude towards people of the State.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday, Jora said that while the House was debating on the adjournment motion moved by the Opposition parties to discuss the situation in the Valley in the aftermath of recent violence in which over 100 people were died and thousands wounded/ blinded, the Chief Minister who is also Home Minister of the State chose to fly to Srinagar to lay a foundation stone while the debate in the Assembly was on. This attitude of the Chief Minister shows the seriousness that this government impart to the lives of the innocent people of the State, he added.
Since the House was off for four-day break from today, the foundation laying ceremony could have been postponed and Chief Minister could have shown some concern towards her own people, whose plight and miseries, the opposition was trying to highlight. He added that the Opposition was debating the unrest in the Kashmir and it was the duty of Chief Minister to listen to their demands and try to bring the State out of the present impasse.
Jora alleged that it was non-seriousness and insensitive attitude of Chief Minister and her government which had brought unrest in Kashmir.
